British bathroom brand Thomas Crapper & Co is putting a colourful twist on traditional bathroom design with its 814 Low Level Cast Cistern. The cisterns are available pre-finished in range of shades, or primed for painting offering greater choice personalisation.
Customers can choose from classic RAL colours or request a bespoke finish in their favourite paint, from Farrow & Ball’s iconic Elephant’s Breath to Little Greene’s Masquerade pink. Options range from heritage tones, such as a rich burgundy or deep teal, to making a statement with butter yellow or even Barbie’s Dreamhouse pink.
Whether coordinating with painted joinery, matching the walls or creating a striking contrast against patterned tiles, the colour can become part of the wider decorative scheme. A choice of polished brass, chrome or nickel fittings adds another layer of personalisation, with each combination giving the cistern a different look.
Inspired by the original Edwardian cast iron cisterns, and manufactured from corrosion resistant aluminium alloy, the 814 Low Level Cast ‘Primed for Painting’ Cistern retains its distinctive rectangular form, embossed lettering and ceramic beer-pull lever. Equally at home in a traditional country house bathroom, a colourful Victorian terrace or a contemporary city apartment, the customisable cistern’s unique versatility allows the familiar design to be reimagined to suit individual tastes and interior schemes.

The 814 Low Level Cast Cistern is also available in a selection of Thomas Crapper’s signature pre-finished colours, including White, Forest Green, Matt Black, Indigo Blue and ‘Crapper’ Red, as well as solid brass and polished aluminium finishes. It can be paired with a selection of Thomas Crapper’s WC pans, and complemented by a choice of solid timber seats.
