Longevity and comfort with reliability

When choosing bathroom furniture, you expect more than just a pretty design. It’s about everyday practicality, comfort, and confidence in the selection of materials. Furniture from Duravit stands out with well-thought-out details: Doors and drawers are tested with up to 80,000 opening cycles, which corresponds to about 43 years of daily use.

Duravit sets the standard for sustainability in production; our furniture is 100 per cent PEFC*-certified and manufactured in the Black Forest. That means that the wood they use only comes from responsibly managed forests.

Compact and functional: Design that creates space

You don’t need to compromise on style, even in small spaces. Bathroom furniture for compact bathrooms unites sophisticated functionality with high-quality design and is ideal for city apartments, guest bathrooms, or narrow floor plans. Intelligent storage space solutions, narrow proportions, and clever details, such as full pull-outs or wall-mounted elements, will allow you to get the most out of every last inch. The coordinated combinations of furniture, bathroom sinks, and mirrors create a cohesive overall look that will make the room appear larger than it really is.

Made for every day: Family bathrooms with style and substance

For daily family use, a bathroom needs to withstand quite a bit, and Duravit furniture is made precisely for this. Vanity cabinets, tall and medium-height cabinets, and mirror cabinets provide generous storage space for all your daily necessities. The robust materials, resistant finishes, and durable fittings that they use allow them to reliably withstand even the heaviest of use. Doors and drawers will still function flawlessly even after years of use. Whilst the design remains clean and timeless – a functional family bathroom should also be aesthetically pleasing.

Make a statement: Bathroom furniture for individuals

Many rooms need to be more than just functional; you want them to show your personality. Duravit statement pieces are perfect for people who want to design their bathroom with intention, placing value on shapes, materials, and details. Distinctive fronts, exceptional finishes, and generous furniture with a clear presence create specific accents and will transform your sink area into a personal statement. The design here remains timeless because true Individuality does not follow short-lived trends, but rather a clear approach.

Calypso has expanded its bathroom portfolio with the launch of two new finishes, Contour Heritage Green and Chateau Green, now available across three of its core fitted furniture ranges.

Contour Heritage Green is offered exclusively within the Chiltern Collection, while Chateau Green has been introduced to both the Pentland and Selter Collections. As with all Calypso fitted furniture, matching vanity units are available, providing homeowners with the flexibility to create a cohesive scheme – from a full fitted run to a wall-hung vanity combined with a smaller unit for a more tailored finish.

Green has long been one of the most enduring shades in interiors, associated with calm, balance, and a connection to nature. Its versatility has made it a go-to choice for designers and homeowners seeking schemes that feel restorative yet timeless. The Times recently reflected the growing appetite for richer tones, advising: “Endorse the boldness of the trend, using rich, earthy shades such as a dark olive green for a chic feel.”

Charlotte Tilby, head of marketing at Calypso, comments: “We’ve chosen these new additions to blend effortlessly with the Calypso palette, while also reflecting what’s happening in interiors right now. With green and earthy tones set to be everywhere this autumn, they make it easy to design a bathroom that feels timeless, stylish, and full of character.”

Within the Pentland Collection, Chateau Green is showcased alongside the range’s painted matte finishes. Its shaker-style doors, curved cabinets, and tongue-and-groove end panels bring period-inspired detailing and enduring sophistication. The Chiltern Collection, meanwhile, presents Contour Heritage Green as a calming complement to its classic shaker design. Framed-effect inset panels, pencil-line grooves, and a durable vinyl finish in soft-touch matte or wood effect ensure a balance of timeless appeal and practical versatility. For those seeking a more contemporary look, the Selter Collection introduces Chateau Green in a sleek, minimalist setting, complete with integrated handles, uninterrupted lines, and the option of matte or gloss painted finishes for a refined aesthetic.

With these latest launches, Calypso continues to expand design possibilities for homeowners and designers, combining enduring style with a sense of calm and natural beauty.

The focus is shifting in contemporary bathroom architecture: atmosphere, material quality, and a harmonious overall concept are gaining the edge on pure function. The bathroom is becoming part of the architecture of the home – intentionally open, artfully staged, and meticulously designed. The Duravit Artisan Lines ranges are a perfect fit for this philosophy. They fuse comfort, functionality, and aesthetics to create a distinctive and expressive spatial concept.

The floor plan: space to make an impact A statement bathroom commences with the room and the floor plan becomes a stage: with open transitions, floor-to-ceiling structures, and asymmetric lines instead of a conventional room subdivision. Fluid transitions reveal zones for washing, bathing, and relaxation. Large areas create showcasing opportunities; elements such as freestanding bathtubs, frameless showers, or integrated washbasins set clean accents. At the same time, elegant solutions combining both individuality and functionality can be created in a small space, using for instance niches or plinths.

The colours: courage to be yourself

Colours influence the atmosphere of any room – including the bathroom. Creating moods, setting accents, and adding character. Whether bold and expressive or calm and minimalist: every nuance tells its own story. Tone-in-tone concepts generate harmonious depth, while targeted contrasts introduce tension and dynamism. This transforms the colour scheme into a personal expression.

Decoration: expressive details

Materials, light, and accessories complete the design concept. Textured surfaces, coloured faucets, or sculptural objects create intentional accents. Elements including natural stone, pigmented plaster, or matt metal add visual and tactile depth. Combined with plants, candles, or small design objects, the resulting bathroom not only hits all functional notes, but acts as an expression of an individual lifestyle.

Jedd Barry, head of marketing, Clerkenwell Design Week

Clerkenwell Design Week continues to exceed expectations, and our 14th edition was undoubtedly the most ambitious yet. We welcomed over 43,000 visitors – an 11% increase on 2024 – and launched three new venues, including the historic Charterhouse and St Bartholomew the Great. These additions formed a vibrant new southern district, all of which received fantastic feedback and added even more depth to our already impressive line-up.

For us, a clear highlight was Alex Chinneck’s surreal public artwork in Charterhouse Square – our boldest installation to date – which truly captivated our visitors while driving incredible engagement from the local community.

“Alongside more than 250 exhibitors, we saw a record 210 showroom partners take part across the Clerkenwell neighbourhood this year. Our talks programme, hosted at The Charterhouse for the first time, also brought together global voices to explore some of the most relevant and thought-provoking topics in design today.

“We very much look forward to welcoming everyone back from 19–21 May 2026!

Ben Bryden, global specifications director, RAK Ceramics UK

As ever, Clerkenwell Design Week was a huge success for RAK Ceramics, and we had a fantastic few days welcoming a wide range of architects, designers and specifiers to the RAK Ceramics Design Hub. It proved the perfect platform to launch our aspirational KLUDI brand into the UK market and we were delighted with the response it received. Visitors were able to see the quality as well as the breadth and depth of the range alongside some of RAK Ceramics’ latest surface innovations.

It’s an exciting time for RAK Ceramics UK as we’re marking our 25th anniversary this year and Clerkenwell Design Week gave us the chance to continue our celebrations while strengthening our long-term collaborative partnerships with the design community.”
