The amazing success of shift

Since bathroom experts VitrA introduced their versatile Shift range more and more designers, retailers and end users are realising the extensive benefits offered by the whole concept behind Shift.

“Right from the initial planning stages when we commissioned the NOA Design Group in Germany to create Shift we felt we were onto something really exciting” explains VitrA’s Darren Paxford. “However, ever since Shift’s launch, even we have been overwhelmed by the extraordinary response both to the products in the range and whole concept behind it.”

The fundamental thinking behind Shift was to create a highly modular collection of integrated bathroom products that would deliver unprecedented opportunity for individual bathroom design and creation.

The name “Shift” was chosen to denote change – change in perceptions, change in thinking and to allow for almost unlimited permutations. The result of the modular thinking is extensive choice. Choice of: modules, assemblies, finishes and configurations.

To achieve this unique level of individual design opportunity from a single range VitrA and the NOA Design Group came up with bold solutions comprised of 12 washbasins, 3WCs, 2 bidet choices and a staggering 160 furniture units in four distinctive but highly combinable finishes – Brilliant White, Zebrano, Mountain Larch and Anthracite Grey.

Shift allows the designer or home owner to create a stunning bathroom environment from literally any room space. With both floor standing and wall-hung options difficult areas and surfaces can be used without making the layout look overly busy or cluttered. The intelligent internal storage systems on Shift’s furniture makes sure that surfaces remain clear and using the furniture in both dimensional and finish combinations makes for exciting visual and asymmetric effects.
