indigenous launches volcanic Riverstone Collection

Sourced straight from the riverbed, indigenous has launched its new volcanic Riverstone bathroom collection. Including a selection of stunning bath tubs, bowls and sink pedestals, each piece is completely unique and is crafted from metamorphosised stone thrown from deep in the earth’s crust; granite boulders originating from the active Marapi volcano, in Central Java, are washed down the river during the rainy season, by torrents of water, before becoming lodged down-stream.

They are then selected, according to size, and crafted by hand. Riverstones can be used throughout the bathroom or chosen individually as statement pieces; their distinct natural look suiting both contemporary and traditional interiors.

Polished to give a smooth finish,the Riverstones boulders are chosen to complement each other and share a fluid bowl design and rich, earthy tone. The smaller stones are crafted into basins and measure around 300 x 300 mm, whilst the largest bath stones measure as much as 2500 x 1500 mm. Taps and fittings can be chosen to suit individual taste.

In addition to the Riverstone Collection, indigenous also offers copper, cast iron and stone baths and basins, and a wide range of complementary natural tiles and cladding.
