HiB Wall and Ceiling mounted extraction fans ventilate in style

HiB has introduced a range of Wall and Ceiling mounted extraction fans for the bathroom. These products are new to the market and are designed to offer superior performance, quality and aesthetic value.

Stopping the unpleasant side effects of steam and resulting condensation is key to maintaining a clean and hygienic bathroom environment. Mould and damp will eventually have a negative effect on accessories and surfaces.

HiB’s Steve Kaye believes that the extractor fan is usually an after thought when planning our bathrooms. We specify the bathroom suite, followed by tiles and accessories.

Often bathroom showrooms don’t display extractors so our final purchase is more likely to be a cheap, plastic and noisy unit that is far from efficient. HiB's new range of fans has been design to solve this problem.

The two wall mounted units are both activated by a switch and fitted with a timer to make sure the fan is activated once you have left to room. Timers can be set for between 2 – 30 minutes. Both models have an optional humidistat, which activates the fan automatically when humidity is reaches between 60 – 90%. This has also been designed to override the timer.

The ultra-quiet HUSH model is only 25 decibels, equivalent to a human whisper from 1m distance. It achieves this by using special ball bearings in the motor. This technique also ensures long service. The discreet BREEZE is low noise 33Db) and it has long lasting bearings in the motor.

Both Breeze and Hush are fitted with backdraft dampers to prevent air ingress. They are low energy designs and use significantly less power than conventional fans. Both have a contemporary design and are available in Matt Silver or White.

For a low energy option the ceiling mounted extraction units - the TURBO in-line fan and the AIR-STAR illuminated fan include a integral low energy LED light.
