LED bathroom lighting offers new opportunities

HiB are one of Britain's foremost suppliers of products and accessories for the bathroom market. Lighting forms an important part of their portfolio and all the products in their quality collection are designed to comply with regulation and guidelines in place.

The HiB lighting collection is constantly updated and they lead in the exciting new area of LED lighting for bathrooms and shower enclosures. The advantages of LED are bright clarity, low energy consumption and bulb longevity.

HiB's enclosure lights for installation in shower cubicles and areas are ideal for wall recessing in tiled or other surfaces. Square, rectangular or round options are available with a minimum recess space of 10cm required (8.7cm for the round light which is not suitable for ceiling recess). All of these lights are IP65 rated.

The other notable LED light in the HiB portfolio is the wall light with a brushed chrome fitting and white acrylic LED illumination. This light has simple, geometric styling and is also IP65 rated.

In their comprehensive brochure HiB include a special zonal diagram for lighting regulations in domestic bathrooms. They emphasise that installations must be made in accordance with current IEE wiring regulations and relevant building regulations. The new LED lights from HiB are all deigned for Zone 1 of the three basic zones.
