Hi Macs new Bodice Light

Bodice Light is a striking and beautiful floor standing light made from HI-MACS®. It was originally designed by Michael Travalia for Project Holo as a design project focused on creating ranges of exciting, diverse objects and furniture. It stands at 2.2M, and offers a subtly over sized, humanistic and sinuous form.

Launched at Tent London last year, the piece highlights the potential and scope of the material. Given the complexity of its fabrication and resulting elegance, it proves a new dimension in both solid surfaces and lit objects.
Inspired by the pleating of fabric and the sewing of a seam, its warmth of material complements a multi faceted, curved structure, adding delightful grace to any environment.

Manufactured purely in HI-MACS®, it is available in all of the Lucent range (Opal, Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald)

Project HOLO consists of furniture designer and makers Michael Travalia and Christopher Thomas. All HOLO products utilize traditional handcraft and embrace the most recent technology, selecting predominantly innovative, recyclable and renewable materials whilst keeping the process personal and meaningful.

Michael works as an interior architect and product designer, on a wide range of international projects. Christopher has lectured at several design schools internationally and currently creates bespoke furniture and interiors.
