Eco designs from Hansgrohe get smart!

Hansgrohe, the shower and bathroom specialist, produces an award-winning portfolio of showers, mixer taps and thermostatic mixers, which prove that no compromise on design or quality is required in order to save water in the bathroom. New for 2010, is a water-saving showerpipe for concealed installation - the Raindance shower pipe EcoSmart S180 AIR.

The new showerpipe uses a special flow control system, which reduces water consumption to a maximum of 9 litres a minute - significantly less than for an average disc-shaped overhead shower which generally requires more than 20 litres a minute. A self-adjusting precision O-ring reacts to the flow pressure level, reducing or enlarging the water outlet as required. This principle means that the water volume remains practically consistent independent of the pressure levels and with the result that water and, as showers usually involve hot water, energy costs can be significantly reduced.

Thanks to Hansgrohe AirPower technology which enriches the water by drawing air into the shower head, the bather is enveloped in a gentle rainfall of soft and voluminous droplets thus guaranteeing a unique showering experience.

Shower pipes are the fastest growing showering segment for Hansgrohe, due to their versatile offering of both overhead shower and hand shower in one system. They also offer convenient installation with only one water connection required to feed both showers. This particular model provides a sleek flat-to-the-wall solution thanks to the combination of a slimline design and Hansgrohe’s i-Box concealed technology which keeps the thermostatic controls to operate both showers neatly hidden behind the wall.
