Leading international bathroom products manufacturer VitrA had an extremely successful debut showing at Ecobuild on an impressive stand under the banner of VitrA Blue Life which encapsulates the companys holistic approach to product development, design, manufacturing and the future of bathroom usage.
With this years Ecobuild held against the background of the new Part G water usage regulations about to be introduced, VitrA showed visitors a range of products that proved just how progressive and ahead of the game they are in terms of optimising water usage.
Eight WCs 2 urinals and 2 baths were displayed all demonstrating water saving and flexibility of use. For instance VitrAs WCs which are designed to flush at 6 litres can also be set for 4 litre flushing. The baths, while standard at 160 litre capacity are also offered with a 105 litre version by VitrA and with the option of 2 leg-sets for 550mm or 430mm height.
VitrAs products and systems have been independently and professionally assessed to ensure compliance with relevant standards like the European EN997. The aesthetic and practical design of all products is cutting edge and from some of the worlds best known designers and design bureaus. One of these is Ross Lovegrove who describes water as our future lifelin and designs products with this concept at the forefront of his ideas.
The products on display were drawn from a number of VitrAs highly successful collections S50, VitrAs best success story which offers such flexibility so as to make it equally applicable to domestic and commercial interiors and include special needs requirements.
Shift has been designed for VitrA by the NOA Design Group in Germany to offer the ultimate in choice and design versatility for the modern bathroom, en suite and cloakroom. Four distinctive finishes can be chosen across an unmatched range of 160 furniture units and combined with options of 12 washbasins, 3 WCs, 2 bidets and various baths. The other VitrA collection represented was Sunrise.
A new product shown was a rimless WC without any lips, apertures or overhangs to restrict vision. This has been designed with schools and public applications in mind to prevent the concealment of contraband and illegal substances.
VitrAs Darren Paxford said the decision to exhibit at Ecobuild had been an unqualified success.
