Kaldewei Riba seminar accreditation

Kaldewei UK has achieved RIBA accreditation for two of their training seminars as part of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme for architects.

As Europe’s leading manufacturer in their field, Kaldewei possesses expert knowledge on the subject for the CPD seminars which is ‘Steel enamel baths and shower trays’. Lasting around 45 minutes plus time for Q&A, the UK seminar focuses on how steel enamel is produced, the benefits of the material, anti-slip and easy-clean treatments and how to install a floor level shower tray. The session can be held in the training suite at the new Kaldewei head office facility in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire or at the architectural practice if this is more convenient.

The second CPD programme is a guided visit to the Kaldewei factory in Ahlen, Germany. Here, architects have the opportunity to experience the world’s largest and most technologically advanced steel bath and shower tray production plant. Single sheets of high grade stainless steel are deep-drawn to produce around 300 different models which are enamelled by state-of-the-art robots before being fired at a temperature of 850ºC in the world’s largest U-type enamelling furnace. This factory visit was recently certified by RIBA and will take place monthly with the first tour scheduled for December 2010. It is sure to prove an educational and fascinating experience, as well as providing essential points towards the annual CPD target.
