Deva welcomes revised Part G

Deva has welcomed the latest revisions to Part G of the Building Regulations and claims the changes are crucial to improving hot water safety and water efficiency in domestic new builds.

Due to come into effect on 1 October, the latest revisions to Part G will see a news standard water efficiency standard of 125 litres per person per day. Also included are enhanced hot water safety and the setting out of where grey water and harvested rainwater can be used safely.

Deva Managing Director Rob Pryde said: "We welcome the government's initiative in the revision of Part G. Although the new regulations do not stipulate specific safety measures for showers, developers and installers need not be too concerned. At Deva we take hot water safety and water efficiency very seriously and with the appropriate Deva products developers and installers can be sure to achieve compliance and meet consumers' demands for stylish design."

Designed with safety, water saving, performance and style in mind, Deva's new minimalist TMV2 approved 7000 range of valves teamed with an award winning water saving Satinjet™ shower and an award winning Enviro-Klick™ mono basin mixer, offer developers and installers the perfect product combination. These eco-friendly bathroom products are particularly suited to the often smaller bathrooms and en-suites of domestic new builds.

Rob added: "The last thing the owner of a new home wants to do is replace the bathroom, but sadly they often do because they are unhappy with poor designs and performance. By getting it right first time with products such as Deva's 7000 range, Satinjet™ showers and Enviro-Klick™, developers can render their properties more saleable, comply with legislative targets and guarantee long-term customer satisfaction, not to mention healthy savings on water and energy bills."

Deva's TMV2 approved 7000 range meets BuildCert standards for thermostatic performance and reduce the risk of salding by accurately controling the water temperature, while the range of eight Satinjet™ showers featuring Twin-Jet™ Technology save up to 40 per cent on energy and water with every shower and Enviro-Klick™ can cut water usage of a standard tap by up to 80 per cent in reduced flow mode.
