Kaldewei baths specified in Singapore Hotel

Kaldewei Mega Duo Oval whirl baths with Vivo Turbo system have been specified for the luxury VIP suites of Singapore Hotel, The Marina Bay Sands Hotel. The hotel's signature three towers are connected by an expansive roof terrace 191 m above the ground. To compensate for the movement of the towers (due to the wind)expansion joints of up to 500mm width have been inserted on the roof terrace between the three linked swimming pools.

The vast construction project was undertaken by internationally renowned architect Moshe Safdie and includes numerous boutiques, restaurants, two theatres and a casino. The interiors of the suites and rooms are designed to provide ultimate relaxation for guests. The bathrooms in the VIP suites feature Kaldewei Mega Duo Oval whirlpool baths with Vivo Turbo system. The guests can experience a relaxing whirl bath in baths perfectly designed to meet the hygiene requirements of a hotel.

The Hotel's appeal is its luxurious design, fabulous views of the city and Marina Bay‘s beautiful park. Hirsch Bedner Associates carried out The interior design and worked in close cooperation with the architect Moshe Safdie.

The HBA designer team created more than 100 different room types, based on the arched shape of the towers. Independent room harmony is repeated in each room and only the highest quality materials were used. Each room features a glass wall which gives the room a completely different flair by night.

The ergonomic lines of Kaldewei’s Mega Duo Oval whirl bath blend with the design concept of the fusion of Western and Asian influences. The bath is made of 3.5 mm Kaldewei steel enamel. Its optional easy-clean finish means bacteria and dirt are unable to adhere to the rock-hard,smooth surface so cleaning is easy. The anti-slip function guarantees safety and the Vivo Turbo jets increase well-being with their unique whirl technique, which only Kaldewei uses in this form. The jets are infinitely variable from smooth stroking movements to a strong, all-over massage the Vivo Turbo whirl system offers individually tailored wellness. The jet system works without pipes, which means no residual water is left where dirt and germs could settle. The jets empty automatically after the bath. All of the whirl bath components that come into contact with water are easy to clean with the hand shower; there is no need to use any chemicals. This very high level of hygiene is of particular importance in hotels.
