Tile Depot new appointments to support growth

Following the successful launch of Tile Depot’s latest new stores in Slough and Crawley, the UK’s largest independent tile and stone retailer is delighted to announce an internal promotion and two new appointments at its head office to further support its ongoing expansion.

Plans announced just a few months ago revealed the retailers intention to more than double its operations to 30 tile stores by the end of 2012.

David Fitzgerald has been promoted to Operations Director. David joined Tile Depot over three years ago and has nearly 20 years’ experience in the tile industry. David’s new role is all-encompassing with responsibility for overseeing all aspects of both new and existing tiling stores, including store operations, design/ merchandising and the management of all personnel.

Rhonda Partridge has been appointed as Tile Depot’s specialist HR consultant. Rhonda’s primary responsibility is to provide support for the tile store managers - implementing processes which will provide development opportunities, access to further training and a clear career path for the staff - as well as looking at ways to provide more flexibility within roles and to review the recruitment and induction processes. Rhonda has 14 years experience in HR, 10 of which within the tile retail sector.

Leslie Dupree has joined Tile Depot as Compliance Controller. With over 15 years’ retail experience and reporting to David, Leslie’s role includes the development and implementation of reports, processes and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure consistency in approach and to help with store roll-out plans.

Danny Steptoe, Managing Director of Tile Depot, is delighted to welcome Rhonda, Leslie and David to their new roles.
