Sustained increases in the cost of methyl methacrylate production, acrylate monomers prices and freight charges continue to impact the cost of production of acrylic products. Lucite International has announced it must pass on a further part of these increases in the price of all sheet and polymer products.
Therefore prices for Lucite® Diakon® and Lucite® Elvakon® products will increase by EUR 120/te from 1st July 2010. Prices for Perspex® cast and XT products and Lucite® Sanitaryware grades will increase by EUR 160/te from 12th July 2010. The increases will apply to customers in EAME (Europe, Africa and Middle East) where contractual obligations allow.
