As part of the new T4 collection launched at ISH 2011, VitrA are able to offer a stunning array of new basins that cover a wide scale of size and format options. The width range starts at 450mm and goes through 600mm, 700mm, 800mm, 900mm to 1300mm (which is a double basin).
VitrA has introduced two new variations on their popular S50 range of sanitaryware. According to Technical Manager Darren Paxford there is an increasing need for compact solutions because bathrooms are getting smaller: “People are looking to re-organise the space in the homes to create room for more bathrooms and there is a definite trend for subdividing large bedrooms to introduce an en-suite or second bathroom.

Turkish exporter of ceramic sanitary ware is increasing its production capacity by 20%. VitrA’s new investment will raise its ceramic sanitary ware capacity to six million units per year and create 500 new jobs.
VitrA UK has appointed Katie Stroud as Contract Sales Manager, moving internally from her position as a Marketing Executive supporting the contract sales team. Katie’s new role as Contract Sales Manager involves selling in the field, visiting existing customers, whilst developing contract business; predominantly within the house builders sector across the South and Midlands.
VitrA UK has invested in its marketing division with two new members of staff, Chloe Jordan and Sulie Turner. Chloe and Sulie will be helping develop VitrA brand awareness by implementing various marketing strategies.

VitrA is expanding its sales team by appointing Darren Dutch as Area Sales Manager for the North of England. Darren has accrued an impressive 22 years of industry experience joining VitrA from BCG where he sold kitchens and bathrooms in the North West. Before BCG, he had sold Ideal Standard to bathroom retailers in the same geographical area and so is well connected as well as product savvy.
VitrA has reported a successful Ideal Home Show. From the 18th March to the 3rd of April, VitrA worked in collaboration with Good Homes magazine to help create a glamorous bathroom display, as one of six individual lifestyle room-sets.

Vitra bathroom products have been chosen for the exciting new luxury hotel M by Montcalm Shoreditch. It is the fifth hotel in the group's prestigious portfolio and has recently opened. Located near the ‘Silicon Roundabout’ and trendy Hoxton in London, the impressive 23-storey contemporary tower has been designed by 5plus Architects and built by SGP Contracts.
Vitra has unveiled its new stylish Water Jewels brochure, which showcases its award-winning basins. The elegantly presented brochure details the range originally designed by Matteo Thun to bring a touch of sparkle to any bathroom.
Vitra bathroom products have been chosen for the prestigious new office space at One St. Peter’s Square. It has been developed by the Elisabeth House General Partner Limited; a joint venture between GMPVF and Argent. It is situated in the heart of Manchester’s central business district and has benefitted from the city council’s £185 million redevelopment of the area.
VitrA has appointed Emma Hibbert to the position of Marketing Executive for VitrA in the UK. Since receiving a distinction for her post-graduate degree in marketing, Emma has been working as the Marketing Officer for Carers Oxfordshire. She has spent over five years working in the charity sector supporting friends and relatives looking after someone at home.
VitrA has appointed Lee Smith to the position of Area Sales Manager in London and the South East. Many VitrA customers and retailers will be pleased to see Lee return to his role having served previously in the same position for VitrA between 2004 and 2010.
VitrA will display its latest products and concepts at the Frankfut ISH exhibition. The international bathroom manufacturer has taken a 1,000 sqm stand in order to show their newest innovations, latest sanitaryware and furniture ranges, and developments in brassware.
VitrA has been awarded the “European Business Award for the Environment” (EBAE) in the management category. VitrA is the first Turkish company ever to win an EBAE award since the start of this award programme in 1987. It was awarded this for its integrated sustainability management system; Blue Life.
As of 1st December, the entire Bathroom Collection range will be available on Virtual Worlds to all retailers. In addition, VitrA’s Showrooms of Excellence retailers will be able to access six further ranges from the Designer Collection range; Istanbul, Shift, Water Jewels, Nest / Nest Trendy, M-Line and T4. Further ranges will be added in due course.
On 17th-20th September 2014, VitrA will partake in several displays at the 100% Design exhibition, during London Design Festival. The celebrated Istanbul one-piece floor-standing washbasin will be on show at 100% Design as part of a display honouring the best kitchen and bathroom design.
On 26-27th November 2014 at the Business Design Centre in London, VitrA will unveil the Memoria range on stand V6A. The range was created for the brand by the internationally renowned Designer Christopher Pillet. It includes beautiful sanitaryware, furniture and brassware. At the 100% Design exhibition held at Earls Court London 18-21st September, bathroom specialist VitrA is exhibiting the Istanbul Round Bath as part of the Bath Boulevard display orchestrated by Pro Publishing.

VitrA have made two key strategic appointments to expand their sales team in the south of England. Both of the new Area Sales Managers bring extensive industry experience to the positions. Errol Brown (52) has been in the bathroom products industry for 9 years and will be VitrA’s ASM for the South Thames region. Rick Gurney (39) will be the VitrA ASM for the North Thames area.
