New Bouroullec mixers give freedom to design by Hansgrohe
Hansgrohe have created the opportunity to create your personal bathroom design. Under the motto "Feel free to compose". The Axor Bouroullec collection from French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, offers even more combinations for the wash basin. Hansgrohe appoint New Area Sales Manager
Joby Hardman has joined the 10-strong retail sales team at Hansgrohe. Based in Horsham, Joby will be responsible for the affluent home county of Surrey and surrounding areas extending south to Portsmouth and north to Oxford.
Two Axor projects win Three awards
Held on the eve of the 2011 Sleep Event, the black tie dinner was hosted by BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine and celebrated the very best in new hotel design from across Europe. The Savoy Hotel and Four Seasons, Park Lane, London, both feature showers and bathroom fittings from international bathroom brand Axor, the designer brand from Hansgrohe.

Since the introduction of the “International Forum Design” (iF) corporate rankings in 2008, Hansgrohe has occupied a top position in this hit list of good design. This year Hansgrohe has improved its position again to Number 11 among the approx. 1,900 listed companies. With 780 points, the company has also increased its advantage over direct competitors.

Axor has launched a new internet-based tool to facilitate easier planning of their Axor Bouroullec collection. Bathroom professionals and their customers can access the Axor Bouroullec Composer at www.pro.hansgrohe-int.com/axor-composer and use it to build combinations on screen allowing the various fittings and wash basin options to be quickly visualised, making it easier to decide between the many variations.

At London’s ExCel, Hansgrohe once again were proud to sponsor the esteemed Special Achievement Award. Designed to celebrate individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the kitchen and bathroom industry, this year the accolade went to Tom and John Hart. Presented by Hansgrohe UK Managing Director, Iain McKinlay, the trophy was given to the brothers who started out in business in the 1950s with their father, Charles Percival Hart, or as we know his name today C.P. Hart.

Hansgrohe produced a design-led portfolio of water and energy saving products to include TMV approved thermostatic controls and grey-water recycling technology ideal for the bathrooms of modern sustainable buildings.
Hansgrohe at Ideal Home Show
At the Ideal Home Show, 11-27th March 2011, Hansgrohe will reveal its latest designer collection within the walls of the Scandinavian House – one of four show homes at the exhibition. Previewed in Paris last year, Axor Bouroullec was created by the celebrated French design duo Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and is available here from Spring 2011. Selected items from the collection are being shown for the first time in the UK within the bathroom and cloakroom of the show home.
Theft of ideas costs jobs
At the “Ambiente” consumer goods fair that ran until February 15 in Frankfurt, the Joyou Group Building Materials Co., Ltd. was awarded the “Plagiarius” prize. This so-called negative prize is awarded – according to a statement by the Initiative against Ideas Theft, headed by Professor of Design Rido Busse – for “particularly blatant plagiarism”.
Hansgrohe to exhibit at Ecobuild
Hansgrohe produces a successful grey water recycling system called Pontos AquaCycle, which will launch at Ecobuild. It has been re-engineered to incorporate rainwater utilization and heat recovery. Designed as a modular system, Pontos AquaCycle takes water from the shower and bath and recycles it for flushing toilets and urinals, cleaning, washing clothes and watering gardens.

Philippe Grohe is honoured by Designer Magazine at the UK Designer Awards 2010. Hosted at the home of English cricket, Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, the event celebrated excellence in professional residential design and was attended by an audience of around 400 interior designers, manufacturers and press.

Hansgrohe supply the Worlds tallest building
Hansgrohe had cause for celebration on 4 January, when the highest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa officially opened in Dubai. The German bathroom fittings and shower manufacturer, Hansgrohe based in Schiltach in the Black Forest, supplied more than 5,000 fittings for the 828-metre skyscraper.

On Sunday 15th November at 7pm, PuraVida the latest mixer collection to be launched by Hansgrohe made a special extra-terrestrial appearance alongside David Tennant in the television hit TV series Doctor Who. Set in a space station on Mars, the dual white and chrome PuraVida basin mixer appears in a bio-dome surrounded by plants, flowers, vegetables and birds. Watched by over 9 million viewers, the mixer tap acts as a focal point for the source of water which is the main theme for the show entitled 'The Waters of Mars'.
