Established in 1891, Ellis Furniture is a privately owned family business, now in its fourth generation. From their modern 200,000 sq.ft. factory, based in West Yorkshire Ellis Furniture produce a wide range of furniture.

Warren will take responsibility for the northern region, and joins Ellis Furniture from Polypipe where he held the position of regional sales manager. Previously he fulfilled the roles of Commercial Manager at Richard Burbidge Ltd, and Area Sales Manager at VELUX. Warren replaces Brian Shears, a longstanding member of the team, who retired from his position after 22 years’ loyal service to the Huddersfield-based company.

As part of its ongoing commitment to support the charity Cancer Research UK, leading British manufacturer Ellis Furniture is donating £30,000 during the next three years to continue its funding of work carried out by Cancer Research UK Leeds Centre, taking the total amount pledged over the years by generations of the Ellis family to more than £100,000.

The development, which is set to greatly benefit customers, forms part of the company’s continual investment programme.

Most consumers would like bathroom furniture
Ellis Furniture is claiming a bright future for bathroom furniture. The company polled more than 7,000 consumers at the end of 2010 and found that although most did not have bathroom furniture, they would like to have it. Of those who took part in the research, 35.6% said they could not live without bathroom furniture and 60.9% said they would love to have it. Just 3.4% said bathroom furniture was not important to them.
